I have a bunch of TAPO cameras, and other brands as well, that take SD cards. They record up to a week plus or minus depending on card size, and I can scroll back through the card over the web via their app and review any recording on it.

I believe most cameras operate this way, but they need an SD card installed (or a hard drive in the controller - some form of local storage), otherwise a subscription for cloud storage somewhere.
