I have a quiet a sudden Pro SP 4003 engine timing light which as the xenon tube charge capacitor missing. I do not know its value but I am assuming it is about two microfarad 630 volts can anyone confirm this is correct and where can I locate one of these in the UK.

Is there anything printed on the pcb? You can probably get the diameter and the lead pitch.

Where are the capacitors should be Is a white lined rectangle about 40 mil by 15 mil marked c3.

Thanks Ian0 I've obtained a 2.2 UF 600 v
From another similar gun. Without the capacitor attached I'll get a continuous glow from the xenon tube with whistle. With capacitor attached all quiet and no xenon illumination. . I lost without the diagram.

All ok now . Faulty 2uf cap. Tested with a 12 vol supply through the clamp pulsed on and of through a few turns of electric fir element to trigger gun.
