as a stedent with a below par instrutor, I am confused.On the board he showed us a 2-bit multiplier.Our assignment was to show a 3-bit multiplier via block diagram.I think I need a full adder for my 3rd output but am unsure. any help would be appreciated

What do you mean by 3rd output? The 3rd bit of the result? If your input is 3-bits long your result will be 6-bits long.

Go ahead and post your diagram of the circuit you have generated. Then we can comment on where you may be able to improve it.
