Kind friends

I have only just discovered that every GPS device to which I've immediate access (Several autopilot units, asset tracking 'tags', Garmin 'nag-boxes' and even an antediluvian 'Magellan Colortrak') insist that today's date is:
12 February 1999 -- Oddly enough, they rapidly acquire all 'visible' (i.e. above the horizon) satellites and otherwise function properly (with the exception of astronomical almanac data {i.e. sun position, moon phase, position}), of course...

Much as I'd like to - seems I'm 7,168 days late to the party

But Seriously - Any ideas?

Yupper! -- All are now back to normal with the exception of that 'antiquish' Magellan -- In which it seems the 'glitch' has induced a rather nasty case of 'late onset millennium bug?'

I expect Windoze (nah, not really) was doing an update on the satellites' software .
