Please how can I wire a step down transformer to give an output of 110v and 6w? I actually have a step-down of this specification but output power is 200watts. Can this power be altered?

Welcome to AAC!
If you have a transfomer with a 110V output rated at 200W then it will be quite happy driving a 110V 6W load. The load determines the power demand.

No. 200W is the rated maximum that the supply can safely provide.
Think about your house mains supply. It is rated to supply many kilowatts of power, e.g. for water heaters, fires, air-conditioners. When you switch on a 10W lamp, does it use all those kilowatts of power? No; it uses only 10W.
