Why are we sitting in front of our computers bickering about something no one here is an expert in to others who also aren't experts in the subject matter? Everyone here is going off of evidence for or against human-caused climate change collected, analyzed, and validated by someone else.

I think global warming threads should be closed on sight.
Are there any real experts in global warming? I doubt it.

I agree, we've gone way off the original topic. Discussing the State of the Union is one thing, but arguing about very controversial topics is another.

I'm out of this thread (though I haven't really contributed anything).

Aren't you people bored and annoyed repeating the same things to the same audience?
Waaaaiiitt a minute....

How many electronics help topics are the same things being rehashed by the same people week after week?

'Help me make my 555 timer do XYZ' sound familiar. :p

But my main comment is this: There's a global warming thread appearing every 4 months or so. More or less the same people participate, saying more or less the same things. Aren't you people bored and annoyed repeating the same things to the same audience?
I find the threads are more popular in the Northern winter for some reason.
So if we're bored with warming let's talk about.

That's because the majority of people in the northern hemisphere keep hearing about how the planet it getting warmer yet we as a collective majority keep seeing cooler and cooler summers and harder winters because of it. :(

Then if that's not enough, to top it off we are told that we need to worry about it warming up a few degrees in the desolate polar regions where no one lives because it's too frigging cold year round to support any quantity of life anyways.

I for one do't care if the poles thaw out. Heck. To be honest if or population is growing so fast its a great thing! It will open up millions of square miles of land to be used for farming and places for more people to live and just think of the volumes of fresh water melting all that ice will produce! ;)

Seems like a win win scenario for the humans race to me and those who think we need to thin out the population can always lead by example and start with themselves. :D

So let me get this straight...we're only supposed to discuss topics that we are experts in? Ok, then all topics are closed.
How did you come to that conclusion? I said to stop bickering and acknowledge that you may be wrong. There is no need to continue to be contentious with everyone.

I would love nothing more than to be wrong about this. But all of the arguments I hear depend on wide-spread conspiracy without a shred of verifiable evidence. That only convinces me more there is something to this.

There is no need to be contentious. Adults should be able to disagree with civility.
