Ok Mr. Chips, getting this truck decal is getting push further back onto more remote burners, so I'll go ahead and just post the pics without the decal.

I just got the outside painted; no body work, no door jambs, no bed, so it's still blue at heart. Here's some crap in the bed:

I think so. Any uniform color is *more* professional than a trifecta of faded purple/blue/black. My truck was a rolling bruise before. The fact that uniform color chosen was white, is a +1 for professionalism.

Remember ... if you pay to have your truck washed ... that's a business expense.

 

Stantor DO NOT PUT A BED LINER in your truck. They produce a crazy amount of static charges. So much so its known extra 1gal gas tanks your throw in your truck can explode in the back of the truck with a liner. Not sure about the Rhino liners, they probably have an ESD type spray.

I would rip out everything and go ahead and spray paint the inside of the bed white too. Will make it easier to find dropped parts.

 

Love the G clamps to hold the canopy on, I guess thats for quick removal? Looks good though.

Isn't that the official way to do it? I don't know another way. Funny, we call them C-clamps, but I guess they're closer to a G than a C.

 

G-clamps over here too. I'm not keen on the location of those pipes or the vice, if you hit someone head on they keep going forward, and you don't want to be sitting in the drivers seat when that happens.

The tubes were mounted in the camper when I bought it. It was used on a surveying truck. I imagine they held rolled up paper. For a split second I thought "Hey, a good place to put threaded rod" - then it was "Hey, a good place to keep blunt spears aimed at my head." I think I'll remove the tubes and hang a step ladder there. The vise, yeah that's not great to have loose in the back, but then nothing is really; the oscope weighs about the same, and the old power supply weighs more. Maybe I should just put a steel screen across the window.

I don't see the pipes being a danger as they sit; they are PVC, they are mounted to camper, and should I be in such a violent crash that they rip themselves from the mounts and fly through 2 panes of tempered safety glass plus the head rest and my skull, I would likely be dead anyway. When ever I put anything more substantial than rolled up charts inside them though, that's when I perceive the situation becoming dangerous.

Exterior was the same from 88 to 98. Interior/dash was boxy from 88 to 94, curvy from 95 to 98.

Don't under estimate a pvc pipe's strength especially if your rear ended by a truck that hits the pipes head on. In anycase I'd just move em to the passanger side. Remember those are cylinders aka one of the strongest geometric shapes you can make. Theres a reason why a 300lb man can stand on an empty coke can and it won't collapse unless someone dings the side of the can with a spitball.

 

Why not put the scope on the front seat covered so it won't get stolen.
