Hello,
Since yesterday my Jam 150+ has been cracking intermittently. I will read the posts to see if I can fix this problem. I also have a problem on two potentiometers. The one on the guitar input and the one on the line input. Do you have an address where I can buy these two potentiometers?
I live in the Canary Islands and have to order everything over the internet. There are no electronics shops in Tenerife.
Thank you for your answers and I send you some sunshine.
Hi, what kind of cracking noise? As you mentioned the potentiometer, can be that, have you tried to see if is doing it on different channel, where the potentiometers are know to be working properly? On my was the TDA, plus it has been wiring wrongly, it was connected only on the bass channel, last technician that touch it, in stead of fixing the problem he/she hide it by disconnect the high amp! Also I would try to disconnect the high speaker and see if still doing it! I’m living in London, same problem, no shops that sell electronic staff! The potentiometer is quite standard one, it can be purchase on line!

Hello Cesco,
Thank you for your answer.
When I turn the two potentiometers concerned to increase or decrease the volume, the crackling occurs. I deduce that the problem comes from these two potentiometers.

Just noisy pots. Most of the time they can be spray cleaned if the pot itself is not sealed. They make a spray called contact cleaner for just that purpose.

Hi,
The card in question is in excellent condition. No traces of corrosion or overheating. There is no degraded components (melted resistor, swollen capacitor, etc...).
My problem comes therefore for me, from the two defective potentiometers. The third and the fourth from the left. I'll try to put some spray back, otherwise I'll replace them.
