Hi, I need to replace a SCR but cannot find the specs on it. It is a rather large unit eith the following markings:
SSC 595256
And below that : 7935
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What is the operating voltage and function?
Is it SCR and not Triac?

The numbers don't show up.
The numbers could be an OEM code, wich you never will find.
The 7935 is likely a date code week 35 in 1979.

If you find a manufacturers symbol on it you can contact
vendor, ask for product engineer or rel department, and
it may be possible to establish what it is. No guarantees
but better than doing nothing.

If an explanation of the units function and other details should make it easy to identify the rating needed if the OEM markings are not found.
In many cases for these items, the exact specs are not always needed.
