The triac is bta16 and the load is 100 watt incandescent bulb. That's not the conventional circuit.
Is the 100W load inductive or just resistive?
What is the triac rating?
Edit: Try increasing the 100R resistor to 10k to fix the problem, if the load is resistive and the triac rating is correct for the circuit.
You're using the pot in an inappropriate manner and it's working voltage is not likely to be high enough for your application.can you tell me what is wrong and how to resolve it.
Sir, I tried the circuitry above that was posted by you and everything works fine, there's no sparkles coming from the potentiometer. Thank you very much.View attachment 273587
You may find that your pot is damaged and needs to be replaced.
How do you mean?Stick to monochrome. Using colors reflects poorly on your skills.
We don't need, or want, color coded schematics. Using colors always seems childish to me.How do you mean?
Well understood, thank you .We don't need, or want, color coded schematics. Using colors always seems childish to me.
Wish you would tell another member that. He adds red in almost every thing, schematic, he posts. We don't need, or want, color coded schematics. Using colors always seems childish to me.
