I'm looking for a text or other source of info regarding linear ICs. How to use them with easy
to understand examples. I've found a lot of info that I don't trust.

The application notes from National Semiconductor and Signetics have a wealth of knowledge. They don't always describe the circuits, but they're usually easy enough to analyze.

You can find a lot of them on bitsavers as referenced in this thread.

I've found a lot of info that I don't trust.

What makes them untrustworthy?
