Source of a minus in an equation

Hello,We have two expressions,the first is the voltage waves where we have the incoming wave and reflected wave.
Where they seem to neglected the reflected coefficient in the voltage equation (Gamma is 1 which means open circuit)

but why we get a minus in the currect equation?

Because they are looking for a delta of the ratios of Voltage over Impedance. Notice also the sign changes for the jBz exponents.
