I am Looking at The Smart Soundbar 900.

I can do Dolby 5.1 and Dolby Atmos.

I Called them and Asked them if You can Turn the SoundBar Off?

They Told Me You can Turn it Down in the App but You can not Turn it Off.

I do not get this because Say it is Midnight and You are Watching NetFlix but You do not want the Atmoss and Bass?

Or is this not how these things work?

Some soundbar dessigns are such cheap junk that they leave out the power switch. Often, turning the level all the way down will silence it, but not cut the power it is drawing. So you may be able to stop the sound, or possibly not. But if you are still shopping I would look elsewhere.

Bose is not exactly "Cheap Junk" !!
I bought the Bose TV Sound bar that has the mid-range voice enhancing option, and quite a bit cheaper than the Soundbar 900! ;)

When I call something "Cheap Junk" I am not referrrring to the purchase price, but rather to the actual quality, which includes the functionality. Is there any reason to leave out an on/off switch except as a cost reduction?

Most electronic equipment now have some standby condition, hardly anything shuts competely down anymore!, the Bose is no different, if it is not used or receive an input signal of any kind for a short period of time it shuts down to standby condition.
My TV, CD, Stereo equipment is no different, there is always a indicator LED lit, even when OFF. They all have to be ready to recieve a remote unit ON command.
I would not call any of it "Cheap Junk"

Just because so many do it does not change what it is! And just because "everybody does it" does not make something right!. Certainly having a primary power switch raises the cost a bit, but neglecting that is still not a good choice. I can provide a $6000 tale of woe to back up that claim.

There are about two generations, from the last quarter of the 20th century until present day that have grown up not knowing what it is like to have to get off the sofa and walk across the room to switch on the entertainment equipment. Including every time you needed to change channels or the volume.
All Entertainment equipment from before that era had a switch that removed incoming power! No More!
You would be hard pressed to find a current piece that did not have a live circuit at all time it is plugged in, ready for that holder of the remote control.
If I walk into almost any room of my house at night, there is at least one, two or more LED's looking back at me from some piece of modern electronic equipment.
PS: Bose at least is also one of those manuf. that at least turn the equipment off it is detects no use or signal for a short period of time.

Well I do not Mind if the SoundBar Stays On but I want to be able to Turn Off the Dolby Atmos.

Like I Say if People are Watching NetFlix at 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM You do not need all the Big Bass Sound and the Dolby Atmos.

I was Looking at the new SamSung SoundBar it was just like the one above.
But the Bass Speaker was only 8. Inch.

Can anybody help?

And my point, once again, is that leaving out a main power switch places a product in the ream of "CHEAP JUNK", not to be confused with inexpensive junk that really has a lower purchase price. This is one of very few instances where functionality does go along with quality.

Not really, I pay for results, I have had audiophiles tell me all kinds of reasons why I should not be listening to Bose products.
The bottom line is I just care what the results sound like to me and the quality I perceive them to be.

I use smartplugs to automatically turn off the power to my satellite receivers, with their associated sound receivers, and TVs when they are not in use during the day and late at night.
Probably doesn't save a lot of power (except perhaps for the 3 satellite receivers which take about 15-20W each), but it bugs me to have those thing using standby power when I'm not using them.
