Could y’all help me understand what this means in this schematic? Does it mean that pin needs to connect the positive side of the power

Yes.
In some circuits there can be more that one that indicate other sources, e.g. -15vdc, +15v etc.
Just as you can have different Ground symbol/references in the same schematic..

+6v to resistor (same as source power) is part of voltage divider , so as for preset lower volts as a reference for the op amp. The variable signal input compares with preset, then op amp clicks if under or over volts.
