Hello All
I have been looking for a small SBC to be integrated into a larger breakout PCB that can be bought in the hundreds.
It is intended to simply have an open TCP socket to send and receive data at low speed (230400 baud) and read and set a few gpio pins. No graphical capabilities are required. Something like it would be used in a low-end router\switch. Ideally low cost and small size.

I have seen similar posts here but none really matches my main requirements which are:
  • Soldered storage, such as eMMC (no SDcard)
  • Ethernet (100Mbs) on breakout pins (can have a RJ45 plug if not used)
  • A few gpio pins (ideally I2C and SPI) as well
  • USB pins ideally via soldered connections, but a physical port would be acceptable.
Is there any sort of standard on these? Ideally I would like to have more than one equivalent model so that if there is no availability of one I can get the other one.
The only ones I found are the NanoPi NEO Core-LTS(only one supplier) and Radxa ZERO 3W(sold out)
Would like to have a more robust supply chain.
Regards

What do you intend to run on the SBC? Linux? FreeRTOS? Something else?
Nothing specific has been decided yet. I guess it depends mostly on the hardware selected.
The main task to achieve is running a TCP socket to serial bridge, and setting and reading GPIO's.
Similar to what Wiznet modules do but I need a bit more control.

Thanks
