Hi All,

A while ago I bought some silver liquid in a small bottle that can repair damaged solder pads but can't remember what it was called.

Can anyone tell me or suggest something please?

Was the liquid clear and turned to silver or was the liquid silver? Did it have an odor like paint or like ammonia?

 

yeah it was conductive paint I just forgot the name and what to put into google.

The more consistent repair method for deglued PCB paths is considered piston into hole, and wrapped tiny wire going to the un-damaged part. Piston may keep a kilograms of weight, thus the component weight is no problem for it. Them are in sold at every component store, different diameters from 0,6 to 1,2 mm.

I use rivets (very small) for repairing pads. Generally, they fit in the PCB hole as is, and I do not need to enlarge the hole. I then just flair and solder both sides when the board is double-sided. Don't have to do it very often. Here is an example of a double-sided board:

What kind of board (single side without plated through holes, double sided with plated through holes, multi (3+) layers)?

Nature of the damage (lifted pad and plated through hole?).

All the ~tools~ You need is sharp cone and screwdriver. So, choose Your diameter and buy only rivets. Riveting instrument is unneeded. I like mostly 0,8 mm thick rivets.

Most people will have a center punch to use for setting. For flattening almost anything will work. One might even try a nail head. The rivets are quite soft.

The rivets I got more than 10 years ago are tinned, but plain copper should work equally well.
