I have used many 5mm LEDs that can handle 150mA.

Although the type they use in that video does not have the extra heatsink area on the leads as do the 150mA variety.

(and you can't bend the leads of the .5 watt variety either)

 

I have connected 26 numbers of 2 leads RGB in parallel and supplied input voltage of 5v with 200ohm resistor connected to common negative lead. All the bulbs glow initially in 3 colours one by one with good illumination but after some time the intensitity of light goes down. I changed to 100ohm but no joy. Please let me know if any mistakes.
