In between the panel and the battery will sit a charge controller that's smart enough to properly charge and tend the battery, even given a wide range of input from the panel. Internally it is able to match up the input to the input to accomplish efficient energy conversion. At least that's how it's supposed to work. Check on the capabilities and specifications of your charger.I have a lifepo4 12v battery with a charger capable of charging from solar with mppt. From my understanding, lifepo4 batteries charge using cc/cv charge cycles but how is this possible with solar as it is not a constant voltage/current?
