1m x 500mm is the approximate size of a 12V 6A PV panel. It can be a bit off from that in either dimension. The differences seem to be concerning the mounting frame.Actually, it's 50cm?
It's basically more cm than I expected.so I can't able to buy it.i thought the cm will be smallTom gayle
Where are you at with this project at the moment? Did you find a suitable solar panel?
Hmmm..but it doesn't suitable for my project.i only need 15cm approximately.so,I think powering the device through generator mechanism, may be good...There’s a lot of solar panels on eBay making ridiculous claims about the power output, and when challenged reply that it is the “peak” output (as if there are bursts of sunlight which shine briefly at 5 times the average)
maximum power output = 0.2 x width In metres x length in metres.
U say,I can use aluminium sheet instead of solar panel? Are you trying to cool something to below ambient temperature?
If not, bearing in mind the relative efficiencies of photovoltaic and Peltier devices, just get a sheet of aluminium the size of the panel you were hoping to use, and use it as a heatsink.
He was suggesting that an aluminum panel would radiate away as much heat per square volume as a peltier device and solar cell combination of the same area.U say,I can use aluminium sheet instead of solar panel?
Got itHe was suggesting that an aluminum panel would radiate away as much heat per square volume as a peltier device and solar cell combination of the same area.
In other words. passive cooling by radiation, if there is somewhere to radiate it to.
