I am working on designing modem for satellite com. (950-2150 mhz). I have used MAX2112 direct downconverter. Please help me how to measure digitally SNR and CNR after downconversion (in baseband) by using MCU (any) . let supposed the received power at the anteena is ranging from -60dbm to 0dbm, the frequency of baseband signal is 1 mhz and peak to peak voltage of baseband signal (output from downconverter) is about 1 volt...What Strategy ? which micro-controller ? C code? please help me urgently. Thanks in advance.

 

Do you receive analog signal or digital signal?

 

Analog baseband signal at the input of microcontroller..using ADC feature..like in most PIC controller available.
