Hi,

We are looking for SMPS controller without integrated MOSFET for Lead Acid Battery charger for industrial application. Please suggest the best SMPS controller for this application.

Regards,

There are some good products made by Texas Instruments under what used to be the Benchmarq brand, with part numbers starting bq.
Without any information of the voltage and current of the charger, that’s about as helpful as I can be.

Thanks for your reply. Actually we are planning to design Lead Acid battery charger for 12V and 24V Battery with 200W and 400W respectively. We are thinking to use common SMPS controller for both designs. Due different rating, we are thinking to not use SMPS controller with integrated MOSFET (Like Power Integration Type).

What level of design skills person do you have on your staff?? If you are considering designing a product you should have somebody who knows and understands about the design. But if it is for the design of a system for your own use, that is different.
In addition, the number of functions has a large effect on how complex the control scheme will be. A charger that only provides controls to select 12 or 24 volts, and fast charge or slow charge, can be able to make those selections with only the two switches and two taps on a single transformer, and two rectifier diodes.
