SMBus for smart charging

Hello,


I have a lithium ion battery with a capacity of 15 V 7.5 Ah. from the battery I want to make the charging system and battery indicator. For that I need SMBus. Is there anything to be considered in determining SMBus IC? How to determine which SMBus IC to use? Please help and thank you
