I am new to telecominacations and RF/ microwave areas and i want to ask a question. Today i had observed a sine wave within the noise on the screen of spectrum analyser at 900 mhz.How can we interpret this considering base station features? What could have caused such a wave to be generated?

Thanks for any answers

Could that have simply been a carrier? There are many cordless phones transmitting at that frequency. Look up the usage of 900 MHz frequencies.
