An LTspice simulation is below, which gives a correct output.
What 555 model are you using?

 

I have no experience with Multisim. I used the first 555 component I found in the component browser, [555 Timer Rated]

 

There would appear to be a problem with the model.
Are there any other 555 models available in Multisim?

 

Use other model, for example you should have in Multisim model LM555CM:
