This is my first class taken that includes motors and motor control, and one of the assignments is:

A DC motor has the following characteristics:
Line voltage: 600V
Motor rated speed: 314 rad/s
Efficiency (neglecting excitation losses and iron losses): 0.9
Armature circuit time constant: 10ms
Excitation circuit voltage: 120V
Excitation circuit rated current: 1A
Excitation circuit time constant: 1s
It should accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 25 s. The mass of the tramway it powers is 10T and should consider 200 people as the tramway trainload with a standard weight of 80kg. The friction force is proportional to the speed and at rated speed (60 km/h or 314 rad/s) is 1/3 of traction force.

From the text I guess it's a separately excited DC motor. I've been going through the theory and somehow always end up needing La, Ra, Le, Re. I guess I'm missing something (probably much needed starting knowledge).
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! :)
