    Hi!
I need to make a time-domain reflectometer. I've simulated the circuit in Proteus, but it didn't work for some reason. I was advised to try doing it in OrCAD, but I can't find the library I need for PIC24. I know i can simulate the analogue part of the circuit (the transmission line) in OrCAD, but I need to use the CTMU of the PIC for time measurement. Is it possible to simulate a microcontroller in OrCAD like in Proteus? I always thought that OrCAD was used for gate-level simulation, not IC-level. Please help!

    Thanks a lot!

Easy: find a copy ofborcad that supports pic24.

You have to simulate only the analog part in Orcad and the digital part in MPLAB. This is how its normally done.

By the time you went to all the trouble jumping through hoops simulating, would it not be more productive to breadboard the device and test real code and hardware?

Then you know it REALLY works.
