Can you provide more data - specifically what it’s doing that suggests it not working well, what is the current we are talking about, is this compared to another current mirror? Whats the supply voltage, does this change? What are your expectations?

If you used emitter resistors, you don’t have a current mirror. The cureent is mirrored because Vbe is forced to be the same. With emitter resistors, that is no longer true.

I meant without emitter resistors
