Hi. It was actually my tutorial question. The original question is: Design a signal conditioning circuit that accepts a common mode input to drive an ADC that has a differential input. It should have the pre-settable gains of X1 X2 X5 X10 and an anti-aliasing glitter allowing response up to 600Hz. The ADC resolution is 12 bits over a 3V range. The input resistance to the signal conditioning circuit is 600,000 ohms and there is a second low pass filter with a response from DC to 600Hz.

Since Signal conditioning has amplifying and filtering processes. So my intension was to use an inverting amplifier for amplification and two cascaded op-amp for second-order filtering. However, since I don't understand how to have the pre-settable gains, so I have no idea whether I can still use the ordinary way to design the inverting op-amp.

Take one step at a time.
Start with a fixed gain of 10 and the required frequency response. You can do the other gains another time.
