I am thankful if you say me what is happened to a Power switch after its fault?
Does it act like a short circuit or open circuit? and why?

What switch? What nature of fault? What circuit?
If it is a NFB (non-fused breaker) then it would be open on trip.

Mechanical switches, in general, can fail open or short, or when closed poor contact resistance
resulting in significant current degradation.

A fault is any malfunction. Not a certain or specific malfunction.

You need to test/disassemble the switch to determine the malfunction/fault cause.

 

At least check continuity and voltage when being operated if you can. Voltage for live circuits, continuity if they are not powered.
