If I wanted to convert a serial packet/transmission to a 4 bit parallel output, how would I remove/distinguish the the start/stop and parity check bits from the data?

Well, I guess since you know the baudrate it won't be too difficult to extract the actual data.

So please post:

- baudrate
- format of what is being transmitted (a timing chart would be best)
