Cool! I've always wondered if it could be done with a modified Tesla valve. Something tells me this works on a similar principle...
Doesn't really block all sound, it just redirects acoustic power in other directions. This means the sound will be louder somewhere.

Color me skeptical. They cranked it up loud and heard nothing? So ALL of the sound from the speaker HAD to go through the pipe and come out the end? NONE of it conducted directly from the box or the pipe's sidewalls into the room?
It attentuated it 94% and that put it below the threshold of human hearing? Assuming that 94% is power, that means it was reduced by about 12 dB. Well, a whisper is about 40 dB above the threshold of hearing. So just how loud were they playing this?
Their video doesn't look like a 94% reduction, either, no matter how you measure it.

It depends on the shells. Subsonic loads are impressive with a silenced weapon.
