While we connect 12v 3W dc bulb directly only to solar panel it glows,but when we connect DC motor of same rating,why doesnot it run?

What is the power rating of the solar panel?
Be aware that the starting current of a motor can be much higher as the running current.
What happens when you connect the motor and turn it by hand?
This to see if the motor will run on the solar panel.

panel has open ckt voltage about 20 volts and short circuit current about 2.26 AMP.

 

Try connecting a large capacitor, 1000 uF, across the panel, then connect motor & see what happens. If it just jumps? but does not start try a larger cap. In the drawing " Solar Gleaner" it can start a 12V 3A motor. Cap may be larger than necessary for your motor. ronv some time ago posted a schematic for an N ch FET.

 

Re found ronv's post; at top of this page, " Search Forums" insert PWM pump driver, needs... Similar project.
