Dear friends
I recently disassemble a dead iternet router(no power )
I tried to change the 1117b regulator but it did not work.
(The voltage check give a reading of 9v(Vcc) on the three pins of the regulator.)
So now i am trying to build a schematic of the board.
I found this circuit on the power entry,
A tank circuit connected to a 6 pins ic(3 of them are internally connected)
Questions:
1-what does this circuit do (supposing i draw it correctlly)
2-what do you suggedt to do to solve the problem
Note :i am only trying to fix the router to practice power electronics

Hi alimash, that part of the circuit looks very much like a switching regulator DC-DC converter. But you would need to try and identify the 6 pin IC.
