Sad? I don't think so. That is what robots are for - doing repetitive or precise tasks or, as in this case, to do things that are too dangerous for humans to try.

 

Too bad Fraley's was out of business when this happened. They could have helped him

I'm saying that the creators of hitchbot may have had a feeling... and it was only Philadelphia! Just think what would have happened to the poor thing in Peoria or Witchita.

 

Philadelphia ... a city that boo'd Santa Claus. Did you think the hitchbot would be welcomed with the key to the city?

 

I feel bad for Hitchbot but Santa, well in my opinion he's got more than just some booing coming.

Lovable? Yes. Rebuildable? Yes. Sad? No. Disappointed in people for breaking things for no reason? Yes.
