No, unfortunately I have no info. I heard someone mention that they used that software. I will have to track them down.
Thank you.

Does anyone on AAC use RISCO drawing software and if so, how does it perform?

No, but you should check out DIPTrace. Best tool for schematic/pcb that there is (IMHO). They have a free, fully capable version (just limited by number of vias (drill holes in PCB) that will handle most of your projects if small/medium. I have the full commercial version (paid) and frankly, it let's me do things easily in ways no other such product will do. They also have versions for sale that offer more via-wise than the free one, at a lower price than the full commercial version.

  • I can take a schematic on an entire sheet, like a power-circuit, or a complex character display and wrap it into one element with the in's and out's and place that on any other page.
  • I can easily create netlinks to other pages (for example, MCU pin is used to toggle a circuit on another sheet on or off.
  • I can make the circuit of any size, any complexity
  • It has fantastic netlist linking to any PCB you create, and they have _THOUSANDS_ of parts. Seems daunting to find at first until you realize you can search all the part libraries for any part you need.
  • You can make it create your PCB, matching the schematic and then go rearrange the PCB components however you like on the PCB.
  • Customer Support is #1 (I get a response within an hour, not days)- In fact, of the tens-of-thousands-of-dollars of software I own (from QuarkXpress to DIPTrace), DIPTrace is my absolute favorite.
  • You can create a library of your own custom parts (which becomes searchable as well).
  • You can get excellent PCBs made affordably, right through their software- no ridiculous outrageous fees for setting up screen printing on the PCB, for example.
  • Their tutorials are absolutely fantastic- can walk you through the entire process of using their product.

If you have *any* questions on how to do something with DIPTrace, PM me. Here is their link:
