RF relay wont work with anything

So I bought a one channel RF relay and I swear that I wired it every way possible but it just won't work. I am also trying to hook the RF relay up to a voltage generator. The relay needs to have 12v of power in order for it to charge, and my voltage generator also needs a lot of amps. so I wired a lithium ion battery into a parallel with and A23 battery, so that it has the amount of amps and volts I need in order for t to work, but still nothing is working; even if I use a small LED instead of the voltage generator. Help

I think we need a schematic to understand what you are doing.
Do not connect batteries with different chemistry in parallel, or in series for that matter.

Why shouldn't i connect batteries with different chemistry in a parallel? i need the amps of a lithium ion and the 12v (the volts of an A23 battery) and i don't think that its harming it in anyway
