Hi... i was wondering if any one could help... I changed switches on a machine to make a motor go forward and reverse.
the motor is single phase with thee wires u1 u2 v2

using a centre off switch (forward off reverse) switch how can i control this... i can only get it to go forward and when i push reverse motor just humms and vice verse if i change connections to windings on motor

could some one please draw me a wiring diagram please if possible including the capacitor connections onto the switch please. very much appreciated

 

For a single phase motor to run in reverse you have to be able to reverse the starting winding terminals.
