Can anyone advise on how I reverse the motor on this drill

 

It appears that this is a universal motor (brushes and a wound field). If that is so then you can reverse by reversing the connections to either the field or brushes.

 

You need to swap the Brush wires over, this will reverse it .

 

How would that be achieved on this setup?

 

Swap the two brush eye contacts , you need to extend the Eye contacts .

 

Check the continuity of each pair coming off the stator. what ever you do, these should always be kept in series with each other and the COM, when reconnecting to COM pair.
The tricky part with the set up on arrangement shown is that the armature appears to be in between each half of the stator. instead of the often customary stator pair separate on one side.

I've swapped the eyes round and no change, any suggestions?

 

You would need to swap the brush connections (eye round) without changing the position of the field assemble. Just rotating the whole assembly 180° will not be effective.

How did you achieve that as the wire loops would not reach the other side?

You end up with the same thing as at most, have swapped both over WRT each other.
IOW, you would keep both stationary the way it was, and move each brush lead over, it looks though as each would not reach the opposite side, you would probably need to extend them.
The alternative would be tricky to do as you would need to swap or reverse each of the stator coil wires, as they appear to be each one on either side of each brush holder, instead of connected directly in series with each other.

You do realize that even if you do reverse the direction of the drill motor, you still can't undrill a hole.
