Can a resonant converter be applied to charge a 12V lead acid battery from a solar panel?

It should be a natural in the case of charging a battery that needs a higher charging voltage than the array can supply. Below is a Google search that should give you lots of good ideas (Google customises searches your results might vary from mine).

It can easily be done with a simple push pull oscillator inverter circuit and the right winding ratios between the primary and secondary sides.

And also our objective is to lessen the switching losses since the PWM based power supply uses hard switching then we decided to use the resonant converter to compensate the problem.
