What are you actually trying to do? What is the remote location you want to connect to, and what do you want to connect to it?
If you only want to connect one PC to the remote WiFi network, that probably will work, assuming it is a standard 2.4Ghz WiFi Access Point.
I don't have any knowledge on that particular USB WiFi device.

I need to connect to the internet at about 1km from me.

The device is a USB land card.

Perhaps I should use this:
tl-wa701nd

Can someone give me detailed instructions on how to.connect the.yagi antenna?

I use Ubiquiti units to link over a long distance and am very happy with them.
For example, have a look for Ubiquity PowerBeam AC PBE-5AC-500. There are quite few in their range.
I'm not sure if you will get what you want with the devices you are looking at.

The home made yagi antenna with a soldered cable to to link wr740n was catching at 1km. I couldn't make the elements accurate and this is why I couldn't connect. But I believe with a normal antenna it should work.
