Hello,

I need an advice for the better option to activate a simple 16A AC relay, the one with a mosfet and the same but without. Also if needed to modify something in the schematic?

The considerations are, less components if possible and if the mosfet ads anything to the safety/ long term operation?

Both circuits are wrong. and will not work.
Have a look on line for a circuit to use. A mosfet will be needed as the opto has not enough current capacity to be used alone.
Here is just one I found...

See how the opro supplies the +12V to the FET gate in the above example? Your first circuit does not have any supply to the gate of the FET.
The second circuit is just plain wrong. See if you can figure out the errors. I could tell you but it is better if you can work it out yourself so you get an understanding of the circuitry.
