I got the sight black in today, and sprayed it all over my wife's vanity mirror; here are the results:
Before spraying: My reflected heat is very visible
Right after spraying (spray is cold):
A few minutes after spraying; sight black had normalized to room temp. You can see a slight ghost of reflected heat, but not enough IMO to matter. It read my "face" area within a degree of the walls and everything else in the room:
And this is just a bonus pic; the camera actually takes a non-thermal copy of every pic, so here's what it looked like to the eye:
The sight black was very easy to wipe off the mirror with a dry paper towel. I think it is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks for the recommendation!
(doesn't come off the hands so easily, so there's probably other stuff it doesn't come off easily, so watch out!)
