I've been sprouting advice to all and sundry about some electronic tools and so here is a separate thread to see what others think.

A good temperature controlled soldering iron and a hot air gun....

My favorite extra tool is an Elmo Video Presenter so now I solder 0.4mm spaced ICs quite well!
