Re-solder set of wires teared off circuit board?

Hello,

I got this old digital projector (ProjectionDesign Cineo3+) but it was broken due to terrible packing. Besides a lot of broken plastic on the outer casing, a set of wires was ripped off one of the circuit boards. Is it possible to successfully re-solder this, or may this have damaged the board forever? I have attached photos.

When I plug the projector in, I hear this faint whirling sound as if electricity is going through parts of it.

My soldering skills don't go beyond soldering some wires to a potentiometer on a guitar, so I'm clueless about this. But if you think this isn't a difficult task, I might ask someone to do it.

Thanks,

Tiago

It looks entirely possible to repair the circuit board to me. It'll take a little skill to solder the connector back, but it's not something that some one with a little experience couldn't do.

You'll need a fine point tip to get in-between the connectors, first you'll want to put some solder down on the pads, it seemed to me one was lifted put it back down with a small screw driver. Once this is done, you'll want to tin the connectors, this will insure both have flux to complete the connections, use the small tip to solder the pins closest to the header, then make the soldering point to the ones closest to the main board, keep wetting it and cleaning on a Brass Cleaner.

I've never liked the sponge.

Edit: Be careful how much heat, the fine tip is harder to control and can burn the tip up. Practice on used electronics first.

Thanks everyone for the replies and advice. I will find someone who can do this, or maybe I'll do it myself if I get good practice.
