Hi, im new here. Hope u guys would able to help me in this matter regarding AT89S51 microcontroller.
Im currently doing a final year project. I've been thinking for sometime and thought of this idea of doing a security system for house.
Im using motion sensor to detect movement in the house.
My question is can i use the output of the sensor to activate my microcontroller?

If we knew something about your sensor we might have a snowball's chance of answering your question. Kindly provide more details.

hello,
you want to activate the microcontroller in the meaning of....?
if you mean to power up the micron, hehe, i don't know how to do it
but if you plan to start the routines in microcontroller, then just connect the trigger (be it
adc's output, or a switch that change state whenever the sensor reads something) to the
microcontroller's interrupt pin.

What the kind of sensor you use are?
The most sensor output is analog.
The modern chip like 89PLCxxx family provides internal ADC.
That my idea. :D
