Hi all,

what is the resultant of an EMI affect output from a switching regulator?

Is it the current ripple or the voltage ripple at the output?

It seems like you are asking the same questions as before.

I believe that your colleague made a misnomer with the term EMI. I believe he meant the typical voltage ripple present on the output of any switching regulator. This ripple would be there without "EMI" due to the intrinsic nature of a switching converter.

I think you should design a simple prototype, then take some measurements. You can whip up a switching regulator in a day.
