hi
because of the usual chaos here in the room i work/altough my daily attemp to fix it/ there is mess with screws and want to know what model to use where.
for example what are recommendations for grounding screw?
When mount diodes and transistors on heat sink what screws to use?
And the last question - when i apply thermal paste between the element and heat sink?

i hope the thread to be not silly and receive usefull answers

thanks

The screws for mounting semiconductors to heatsinks should not have countersink heads (unless the heatsink has countersink holes and the heads are on that side). It is always best to use heatsink compound if there is no insulator, or a mica insulator, between the component and the heatsink. This compound is not needed if you are using a rubberised insulator.
