Hello, I just installed a water temperature switch on a vilter refrigeration compressor. It is wired for nc operation. I would like to install a push button reset for the water temperature switch so it has to be manually reset. I'm not sure how to go about this. Any help would be appreciated

The water temperature switch is a penn A19 series single pole, double throw switch. There's a common, n.o., n.c. contacts

 

So what do you want to do to it exactly? Modify it?
How do you mean 'Manually Reset it'?

I installed it in series with an oil pressure switch. Its a 120 v system

install a push button to where if it goes off on high water temp. the compressor will not start again until the reset button is hit

 

So it seems you want a standard stop/start circuit using a simple relay that registers the OFF condition and not be re-enabled until the reset (start) P.B. is operated.
The temp switch contact would be in series with P.B and relay coil, a relay contact across the ON P.B. would retain itself (coil) when released. .

That sounds correct Max. For the relay, could it be an ice cube relay? Would it be to much to ask for a rough schematic? If not, that's ok. Thanks for all the help Max
