Hello, I'm a graduate of electrical engineering who is considering his options for a master's degree.

I graduated two years ago and I decided to go into the industry for a while before returning back to academia. I currently work as a firmware/software engineer where I write programs with C, C++ and python.

I'm interested in the medical devices industry (particularly with medical imaging and ultrasound technology) and I'm looking to pursue a master's degree to that effect. I've been researching online and I'm somewhat confused as to what I should choose as my major. I'm not too sure whether to pursue the master's degree in biomedical engineering (apparently this means different things to different schools), embedded systems or even electrical engineering.

I'm seeking advice from experts in industry and academia regarding the choice of the major. Also, I'd appreciate if you could recommend any universities as well so I can check out their online brochures.

Thank you
