hey guys... i would ask some suggestions about making a simple circuit using a 555 timer and any op-amps in a single circuit...
any suggestions will greatly appreciated...

What is your goal? Get some burnt out chips and glue them together into a work of "art"?

Google is your friend. There are zillions of circuits using these components, and I'm sure there will be plenty using both.

 

Use an op amp configured as a comparator. You can use the output of the op amp to trigger a 555 to turn a device on for a given period of time.

My description was generic, didn't really have a specific purpose, but the intruder alarm is one application that the 2 IC's an be used, yes.
